About Christian

Christian qualified as a Solicitor in 2010 having previously practiced (since 2002) as a Legal Executive in the private and public sectors.

Christian specialises in all aspects of commercial property including business sales and acquisitions,  business leases and retail development projects. He also has considerable licensing experience having worked for and advised a number of local authorities in the South West and a London Borough on the Licensing Act 2003 and regularly acts for buyers and sellers of hotels, guest houses, public houses and restaurants.

Away from the hotel and hospitality sector, He also has strong links with the farming and equestrian community, and acts for a number of South Devon farmers,  as well as buyers and sellers of equestrian land (including pony paddocks) throughout Devon and Cornwall.

As a small holder himself (with sheep, poultry and ponies) he  knows first hand the everyday challenges of caring for livestock and the potential pitfalls of purchasing rural land.

He is known for his attention to detail and client focused commercial advice and has referrals from existing clients, agents and brokers in Torbay and beyond.

Christian’s background as a litigator makes him a popular choice for clients looking for a strong and determined approach to drive their case through in accordance with their goals.

Christian also regularly assists our Corporate team, on the property aspects of corporate business transactions.

In his spare time, when he is not rounding up unruly sheep or mucking out his wife’s ponies, he now enjoys watching rugby, Clay Pigeon Shooting and running around after his children.

What you have said about working with Christian...

We truly cannot express how grateful we are for everything you have done for us throughout this process. What was, at times, an incredibly complex and stressful transaction was made so much more manageable because of you. Your clarity, patience, and the way you kept us fully informed at every stage gave us real confidence, and your light-hearted approach at just the right moments genuinely helped carry us through some of the more difficult points. We always felt completely supported and in very safe hands, which is not something to be taken for granted in a process like this. Our sincere thanks for all your hard work.

Christian Robertson always promptly responded to all communications, was willing to take calls at all times even in the event of an out of hours question. He kept us up to date on progress and ensured we met our deadline completion date. A pleasure to deal with and I look forward to conducting further business with him in the future.

At all times I felt you all; Christian Robertson and Tony Hunt had not only my business interests at heart but also were supportive for what was a very stressful time for me. So thank you for that support. As a non-legal person it is not always straightforward to understand matters and I was pleased with how you dealt with my questions.

I was both pleased and impressed by all aspects of the service provided by Mr Robertson. He was helpful, professional and easy to communicate with.
