Vegas or Bust – Day Three
Kitsons Plymouth Partner Matthew Bryant and team ‘4 Morris’ in a Merc’, on day three as they travel around 1700 miles in aid of St Lukes Hospice Plymouth, for the Banger Rally Challenge.
Day Three (via Matthew Bryant):
Location: 20km outside Pamplona, France
Distance Travelled: approx 856 miles
Distance To Go: approx 844 miles
"Set off at 8am today and arrived at Messanges at 7.30pm. Climbed a big dune and made fools of ourselves (again) at the top. Too tired to party but raised, from fellow ralliers, €20 jigging…then slept.
Messanges to Pamplona via Biarritz and San Sebastian. Hilarious day. Did a jig in a bandstand in Biarritz (see video >> https://www.facebook.com/KitsonsLLP/) and collected a further €11 from the audience!
We then sang an opera song on a funicular railway in San Sebastian – did a Morris routine in dodgems – and reenacted the bull run in Pamplona.
We arrived at the campsite before 5pm and had a bit of a party. Some cars struggled though the Pyrenees, one car dropping out due to car failure and one driver retired ill.
The Merc is going like a dream. Wheel still squeaking, but otherwise fine. Day 4 we drive 300 miles to the east coast of Spain just above Valencia."
